Relationship Therapy

The couple or relationship is the focus of this therapy.  We explore the relational dynamics and how each member of the relationship contributes to the struggles and challenges experienced.  Increased understanding  and communication of the issues aims to help those in the couple decide how to make progress.

Common relationship difficulties may be:

  • difficulties in communicating with each other

  • problems achieving a pleasurable sex life

  • intimacy difficulties (physical, sexual or emotional)

  • relationship boundaries e.g. monogamy/consensual non-monogamy,  affairs

  • negotiating difficult life events e.g. pregnancy, parenthood, bereavement, losses

  • managing conflict
